A notice of deficiency means the IRS believes you owe more taxes than what was reported. Causes include unreported income, disallowed deductions, or audit findings. Your options in 90 days. You have 90 days to agree or disagree. If you agree, you could pay the balance or set up a payment plan. If you disagree, you file a petition in US tax court.
